Abstract
There have been many studies about the
relationships between corporate culture and external environment. It is assumed that
corporate culture should embody what it takes to succeed in the environment. If the
external environment requires extraordinary customer service, the corporate culture should
encourage good service; if it calls for careful technical decision making, cultural values
should reinforce managerial decision making. The general aim of this study is to examine
the relationships between the external environment and corporate culture. Therefore;
- the dimensions of external environment,
- the term of corporate culture and
- the relationships between external environment and corporate culture in clothing
industry will be examined.
Focus group studies will be carried out to gain insights of the sector and of the general
understanding of the concept of corporate culture in clothing industry.
